Home Loans

A home loan is likely the biggest financial commitment you’ll make. We compare lenders for you, explain your options in plain English, and manage your loan from pre-approval to settlement.

Who we help

  • First home buyers — we’ll check which government schemes and concessions you qualify for.
  • Upsizers and downsizers — moving to a home that fits your life now.
  • Returning buyers — if you haven’t owned a home in the last 10 years, you may be eligible for first home buyer support again.

What we do for you

  1. Work out your budget. We look at your income, savings and expenses, and show you what you can comfortably repay.
  2. Compare lenders. We search 40+ lenders for the loan and features that suit you, not just the headline rate.
  3. Get you pre-approved. You’ll know your budget before you make an offer.
  4. Manage the application. Paperwork, valuation and lender questions, handled.
  5. Get you to settlement. We work with your conveyancer and keep you updated.
  6. Government help for first home buyers

5% Deposit Scheme. Since 1 October 2025, eligible first home buyers can buy with a 5% deposit. There’s no limit on places, no income cap, and property price caps have increased. The government guarantees up to 15% of the property’s value, so you avoid Lenders Mortgage Insurance.

Keep in mind: it’s a guarantee to the lender, not a cash grant. You must live in the home, generally moving in within six months of settlement, and the price must be under the cap for your area.

First Home Super Saver Scheme. You can make voluntary super contributions of up to $50,000 in total, then withdraw them with their earnings to put towards your first home.

State concessions. Most states offer stamp duty discounts or grants for first home buyers. We’ll check what applies to you.

Choosing the right loan

  • Variable rate – repayments move with the market, usually with more flexibility.
  • Fixed rate – repayments stay the same for a set period, with less flexibility.
  • Split loan – part fixed, part variable.
  • Offset account – savings in an offset account reduce the interest you pay.

We’ll explain which features you’ll actually use, so you don’t pay for ones you won’t.

What it costs you

For most home loans, our service is free to you. We’re paid by the lender, and we’ll show you exactly how much before you sign anything.
